A little about us…

OUR MISSION

To bring fresh, local produce to our community & to educate and empower growers through the simple act of growing healthy, nourishing food.

OUR VISION

To multiply the number of small scale farms, and create a future where humans live in harmony with nature and each other. We strive to create a unique place where people can come together for local food, flowers, and pumpkins.

Hey there, fellow plant enthusiasts and farm friends! We're Ryley and Amanda Gilbertson, the dynamic duo cultivating chaos (the good kind) on our six-acre slice of heaven near Kitscoty, AB.

Meet the Team:

  • Ryley: The "MacGyver" of the homestead. If it's broken, he'll fix it with with a mix of resourcefulness and determination. Fishing fanatic and the reigning champion of the "I'll do it myself" club.

  • Amanda: The animal whisperer. Her love for all creatures big and small is as boundless as the fields we cultivate. She dreams of creating a farm that's not just functional but downright stunning. Amanda's the creative genius behind marketing and making things pretty.

  • Tug: Our St. Bernard, Tug. He's not just a dog; he's our big, fluffy, slobbery baby. His hobbies include napping, chasing squirrels, and making us question who's really in charge.

Our Love Story: In the grand scheme of life, we've been rocking this relationship thing for 13 years (married for 7). We're proudly childfree, choosing instead to parent plants, animals, and the occasional bottle of whiskey. Speaking of which, whiskey is our preferred method of adulting; it's like a hug on the inside.

Homestead Chronicles: Four years into this wild adventure, and we're still standing (and planting)! Our grandparents set the gardening bar high, and we're just trying not to trip over it. Our goal? To grow food and products that heal and nourish our community, one quirky vegetable at a time.

Beyond the Homestead: When we're not tending to the farm, you'll find us camping, spending time with family and friends, hot tubing, eating out, and binge watching our favourite shows. Family and friends are our anchor, keeping us grounded and reminding us that whiskey and duct tape can't fix everything.

Our home is our oasis, a place where vegetables roam free, flowers bloom, and Tug's slobber is considered a badge of honor. Thanks for growing with us and joining our slightly chaotic, always entertaining journey!
